Vision

Precision medicine strives to identify the right therapy for each individual patient. For this, we need to establish a regulatory, technical, clinical, ethical, and economically efficient framework to create a robust precision medicine approach to promote health and treat patients in disease. The BCPM engages faculty from across the University and the University Hospital of Bern to help improve the way we care for patients. We anticipate that the successful establishment of precision medicine will lead to new approaches in preventing and treating disease, and the development of new drugs and technologies to care for our patients. Finally, we also educate the next generation care takers and scientists to realize the long-term benefits of precision health care.
